DISMANTLING THE MEDIA MYTHS

The media is the interface through which millions look at the world; bombarding us often with unhealthy information and imagery. The powers of its influence give rise to many stereotypes that are not synonymous with whom we are presently and becoming as women.

This event was created to bridge the gap between silence and conversation. The phenomenon that we are a reflection of what has been in most instances, poor representation, has stirred up a sense of urgency to openly address this trend. Let’s talk about it! Panelists include ELIXHER founder/editor-in-chief Kimberley McLeod, journalist Pauleanna Reid, Uniquely You Summit founder/President Shaleah Laché Sutton, and beauty/health writer Nicole Marie Melton.
