Keyshia Cole Sings About Female Companion On New Single
This week, Keyshia Cole dropped a new single titled “She,” where she sings about a female companion. The DJ Mustard-produced track, is different from the “Heaven” singer’s usual offering. “Down to try something different / Lips and legs, soft skin so feminine / Curves like me, covered in my cherry scent,” she sings. “Them boys love ‘em some you / But I ain’t mad ’cause you look good on me too / She look good on me too.” The song is set to appear on Cole’s new upcoming album Point of No Return. Kin4Life Releases New Single, “Jackin’ My Swag”
Hip hop duo Kin4life released a new single this week titled “Jackin’ My Swag.” On the record the Mt. Vernon natives address mainstream artists appropriating style and lingo from the LGBT community. “No records sales/you should get them gays to hop on/it’s a bumpy ride/I suggest that you should strap on,” IQ raps. “I’ve been in multiple documentaries/text books mention me/cover story/all the glory.”

Laverne Cox Appears on BET’s 106 and Park
This week, the cast of Netflix’s hit series Orange Is the New Black graced the couches of BET’s 106 and Park. Among the cast members to appear on the video count down show was our beloved Laverne Cox. Check out a few photos from the appearance below.
Felicia Snoop Pearson, Po Johnson, AzMarie & More Appear In New Documentary
Directed by Nneka Onuorah, The Same Difference is a documentary that explores discrimination and stigmas within the lesbian community. It features author and actress Felicia Snoop Pearson, singer and reality TV star Po Johnson, fashion model AzMarie and a myriad of other well known lesbians in the LGBT community. In the film there’s a handful of issues discussed, such as what it means to be an aggressive or stud lesbian, labels, lesbians and pregnancy, bisexual aggressives and more. Monifah Releases New Single
It’s been an exciting week for the singer and reality TV star. This week, Monifah and Terez’s wedding ceremony was aired for the R&B Diva’s season finale. Monifah has also been promoting her new single, “The Other Side,” which is an uptempo track about an underserving lover, produced by Q Worthy. Check it out below.

Oxygen Releases Full Sisterhood of Hip Hop Trailer
This week, Oxygen released the full trailer for their new reality series, Sisterhood of Hip Hop featuring openly-lesbian rapper Siya. In the trailer, the Brooklyn rapper can be seen talking to her mentor, R&B singer Tank about wanting to be heard. Apparently, she also gets a bit personal in this series. The trailer reveals some issues that Siya is having with her girlfriend.
