Robin Roberts Publicly Thanks Longtime Girlfriend on Facebook

Robin Roberts Publicly Thanks Longtime Girlfriend on Facebook
ELIXHER

Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts recently took to social media to thank her longtime girlfriend Amber Laign for her support during what has been a difficult year. In a touching end-of-year message posted on Facebook this afternoon, Roberts acknowledged her battle with cancer and loved ones that have helped her along the way:

At this moment I am at peace and filled with joy and gratitude. I am grateful to God, my doctors and nurses for my restored good health. I am grateful for my sister, Sally-Ann, for being my donor and giving me the gift of life. I am grateful for my entire family, my long time girlfriend, Amber, and friends as we prepare to celebrate a glorious new year together. I am grateful for the many prayers and well wishes for my recovery. I return every one of them to you 100 fold. On this last Sunday of 2013 I encourage you to reflect on what you are grateful for too.

Although Roberts has been quiet about her private life, the public has long speculated about her orientation and relationship. Roberts and Laign have been together for 10 years.

Today marked the 100th day since Roberts received a bone marrow transplant. We wish her all the best in 2014 and beyond!

Knew it, but why are we so fearful of revealing our sexuality even me in some instances, it’s a shame.

  2. This right here is some bull-chit!

I had the biggest crush on this woman. I knew she was gay. One of the reasons I pursued and screwed my property manager is because the two of them look alike (which turned me on). Now I find out this woman is taken, and has been taken for some years….by a white woman?!?

Don’t kill me for being politically incorrect. Normally I wouldn’t care, but there is something about this woman that touched a spot in my heart. Now that heart is broken :-(
