Gladiator 1st Annual Stud Fashion Show
Despite a huge upswing in the LGBTQ community’s cultural relevance in the past decade, there is still a significant segment of the queer population that is ignored by advertisers and merchandisers: the crossdressing lesbian. LGBT buying power is fast approaching $1 trillion, yet companies have largely neglected to market to the masculine-of-center women who feel more comfortable in blazers and Oxfords than pumps. The creators of Gladiator are hoping to reverse this trend with a Brooklyn fashion show headlining all butch models in androgynous gear-a showing they hope will increase butch lesbian visibility in the fashion industry.
The night will not only be light fashion fare, as models will participate in a two hour media session answering questions about their perspectives and experiences as androgynous women. There will also be an opening documentary and a performance art exhibition preceding the runway show.

Elixher,
Thanks to your endorsement of this event Im seriously questioning the integrity of this operation.
Doors open at 4 ( under the guise of getting good seats ) show starts at 6 , yet just like any club , which this event is not suppose to be, its 515 and we are in our sunday fashion finest waiting in line. Perhaps it didn’t occur to anyone that having a bunch of fine women dressed up solicits communication and harassment from the street n*ggaz buying loosies across the street. oh yeaah lesbians especially don’t like that.
ladies i come here to be enlightened to insightful progressive lesbian think. But Ive been decieved. Please cross verify who you endorse.
Thanks

From Fallon Davis, executive producer at ‘Gladiator’:
“I apologize deeply for the wait and the comments women received from men while waiting. There were some production glitches that took longer than we thought to correct.
We wanted nothing more than to produce an amazing show for the audience and everyone involved. History was made and doors have been opened in our community. The best way to make this possible is by sticking together and being positive.
The show turned out amazing. We received so many positive things from this as a community. Let’s not let something so little build back the barriers we are trying to break down.
Once again, from the sincerest place in my heart. I apologize for anyone who waited on line longer than they wanted to. We will do all we can for the next event to run on time. I hope you will take the positives from the show and the movement being built and throw out this negative.
Stay blessed. Stay creative.”
