American Apparel Features Trans Model Isis King in New Campaign
American Apparel has joined the Gay and Lesbian Alliance against Defamation (GLAAD), to feature a line of equity tees commemorating LGBT Pride month. America’s Next Top Model contestant Isis King is being featured as the face of the campaign, wearing t-shirts that read “Gay O.K.” and “Legalize Gay!”
The 26-year-old African-American model was the first transgender contestant to appear on Top Model, and is the first openly transgender model to be featured in an American Apparel ad campaign.
Go, Isis!
