Launch of Third Season of “The Go In”
Are you ready to go in? For the past two years, this summer party has drawn an eclectic mix of people into an unpretentious, free-loving environment, in what could easily be perceived as a living , breathing advertisement for Brooklyn tourism. This year, the location has moved headquarters to Clinton Hill’s transcendent lounge, The Emerson.
From the bar to the dance floor to the grilling in the backyard, this weekly party has a family cookout’s good vibes, but with the libations and sound system to match the hottest nightclub. The music is a seamless mix of house, soul, hip-hop, latin, afrobeat and everything else in between. Turntables will be manned by DJ Rimarkable and DJ shErOck*, who recently won the Best Alternative Nightlife DJ Award at the GO Magazine Nightlife Awards.
On May 28, the party officially celebrates its 3 Year Anniversary with its annual Memorial Day evening cookout. That evening, the DJs will be paying a special musical tribute to the legendary Donna Summer! The festivities will kick off at 5pm, where the go in debuts its 1st Annual Go In Games!! What’s an anniversary party without a good indoor/outdoor cheesy tournament? Pool, foosball, prizes…’Nuff said!
